We recommend you apply leather balm/conditioner to your map one to two times per year to prevent any cracking due to dryness. This is not essential, especially in the first few years but it will definitely help prolong the life of your map. Simply apply a small amount to a cloth and rub it into the leather in a circular motion. The leather will initially look darker from the moisture in the conditioner.

When you order a product through our online store, your order will come complete with a cloth and tin of leather balm to condition your leather.

If you purchased your map at a store and did not receive a tin of leather balm or need to buy a replacement, we recommend Smith’s Leather Balm and any cloth such as a microfibre, chamois or an old piece of a t-shirt.
